Poultry.

This is the first year we have ever raised turkeys ourselves. We have eaten turkeys raised by others and had to try it for ourselves.  We only had enough room in our poultry shed for about 5 turkeys, which is realistically all we need. Our meat chickens will be coming here in September and we usually get 30 of them.  The turkeys have quite the personality. They love being outdoors. They sing constantly and make excited little peeping noises when they eat. We have been letting them out for a quick free range in the evening. They love it and run around the yard eating clover, bugs and whatever else appeals to them.

Just hanging out.

  1. Way cool. You do need to find some food that fattens up those turkeys. Probably by late November.
