Four Years of Flowers.

Edging before weeding. I do it every year. It really, really seems to help.

Purple glory of the snow.

Nodding hellebores.

Blue glory of the snow.

Siberian squill.

Hyacinths and daffodils.

My gardening buddy.

Crocus slowly being awakened by the spring sun.

Naturally these were the first to emerge. My chronological order is slightly off here.

Yellow crocus planted close to the house.

Violas.

I sent my boyfriend to the nursery one day with the request that he bring me home some daffodils and not tell me what they look like. I planted them for a surprise in the spring. What fun!

Windflower. These may spread quite rapidly so I planted very few in case they do.

Hyacinths.

Tulip tarda.

Parrot tulips.

Starting to look upwards hellebores.

Some of the big picture and one cranky looking kitty.

Nodding checkered lilies and tulip tarda surrounded by grape muscari.

Appropriately named double daffodils.

The vibrant iris reticulatas.

Hyacinths, the surprise daffodils and tulips in the foreground.

White bleeding heart.

Parrot tulips.

A pink tulip that I never planted.

Orange ballerina tulips.

Pansies/Violas.

Allium starting to fill out.

My shade garden.

Hosta.

German reblooming iris.

Allium.

Dutch iris.

Flowers in containers.

Asiatic lily cancun with pansies.

Foxtail lily.

Flowering hosta.

Asiatic again.

Daylily with the hollyhocks about to bloom in background.

The same daylily in the shade garden where it gets a lot less sunlight.

More lilies. Trebbiano and halloween.

Dio's daylily I planted by his house.

Here's the hollyhocks.

The newest flower bed just prepared that spring. Planted with an asiatic lily, dwarf sunflowers to loosen up the soil with their vigorous root system and petunias.

Echinecea.

Hosta in the shade garden.

Black eyed susan.
